Our in-house laboratory enables us to run a variety of tests to screen for parasites, assess organ function, and more. Plus, we can keep an eye on test results over time to watch for early warning signs of illness. Some of the things we commonly test for in-house include heartworm disease, Lyme and other tick-borne illnesses, and signs of infection.

For complex tests and situations where time is not of the essence, we sometimes send patients’ blood, fecal, urine, and biopsy samples to specialists for further analysis.

Our digital radiology, or x-ray, equipment lets our team peer deep inside patients’ bodies to view their bones, organs, and connective tissues. Getting an x-ray is non-invasive and pain-free. Our state-of-the-art equipment also provides instants while exposing patients to minimal radiation. We rely on our digital radiology equipment to diagnose bone deformities and fractures, locate foreign bodies in the digestive tract, monitor pregnancies, and more.

Ultrasound is another type of diagnostic imaging that allows us to see things that don’t show up on x-ray. This technology shows us the internal organs in great detail. It creates real-time images of soft and fluid-filled organs, including the heart, spleen, kidneys, liver, and more. Our team relies on ultrasound to diagnose cysts, tumors, pregnancies, fluid in the abdomen, and more.
