With our in-house diagnostic laboratory, we can run a variety of tests to look at your pet's organ functions and screen for parasites. Changes in test results over time can alert us to a problem early on so that we can start treatment earlier. We commonly test for heartworm disease, Lyme and other tick-borne diseases, and signs of infection. For complex tests that do not require immediate results, we send blood, urine, fecal and biopsy samples out to specialists for analysis. In addition to lab tests, we also offer advanced digital radiography using an HD x-ray machine for the best quality images. These x-rays are an essential diagnostic tool that lets us see your pet's bones, connective tissues and organs. The procedure is non-invasive and pain-free, and often does not require sedation as our updated machine can get images faster and easier than other versions. Using x-rays, we can detect bone fractures and deformities, foreign objects in their stomach and intestines, heart problems, tumors, and other abnormalities. The HD X-rays are easy to share with pet parents and other veterinarians, too.
